Greene County district court, week ending Sept. 25

In Greene County district court Mason Scott Myers, 23, of Webster City was sentenced to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- second offense. All but seven days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of two days of the jail time. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Myers was fined $1,875 with a $281.25 surcharge; one-half will be waived if he obtains a temporary restricted license. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Scott Cram, 32, of Bagley was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He was fined $315 with a $47.25 surcharge. He must pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees not to exceed $600. Court costs were $131.50. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Tina Gail Ganzeveld, 41, of Fort Dodge, OWI- first offense; and Chanze Jay Bushman, 19, of Scranton, child endangerment. A trial date of Oct. 10 was set for Ganzeveld. A court date of Dec. 8 was set for Bushman.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Joyce Ellen Davis, 71, of Jamaica, perjury; Tammy Ann Tolsdorf, 54, of Grand Junction, perjury; Samantha Nicole Joy, 23, of Scranton, child endangerment; and Nicole Terese Borkowski, 35, of Jefferson, child endangerment.
